Platform Overview

Where supply planning comes together.

One platform for the decisions that shape supply, from the plan and the scenarios that test it to the schedule on the production floor.

The Products

Three products, one platform.

From building the supply plan to testing the decisions that shape it and scheduling the work on the floor, each product carries the depth pharmaceutical supply requires.

Supply Planning

What do we need, and when?

A time-phased plan for every material, with batch, expiry, and supplier limits applied at every level.

  • Supply and demand peggingEvery requirement traced to the supply that serves it
  • Batch, expiry, and FEFOLot-level shelf life in every period of the plan
  • Supplier quotasConstrained materials allocated by priority and capacity
  • Campaign managementCampaign-based supply across locations

Who uses it

  • Clinical and commercial supply planners
  • Leadership, through dashboards
  • Procurement and partners, through exports

Questions it answers

  • Which lots expire before planned use?
  • When does each order need to be released?
  • How does a forecast change reach drug substance?
Scenario Planning

What happens if…?

A sandbox that starts from the live plan and never changes it, with as many scenarios as the question needs.

  • Demand shiftsUpside and downside forecasts, compared in one view
  • Quality eventsA batch on hold and what it means for supply
  • Shelf-life extensionsNew stability data applied before you commit
  • Sourcing and capacityLead times, allocations, and campaign windows

Every scenario starts from your current supply plan, so the comparison is always like-for-like.

Who uses it

  • Clinical and commercial supply planners
  • Supply chain leadership

Questions it answers

  • What if a batch is put on hold?
  • What if new stability data extends a lot’s expiry?
Production Scheduling

What runs where, and who runs it?

Recipes become batch schedules on one interactive timeline, with each change checked against resource availability.

  • Recipe-based batchesEvery step, machine, and operator defined once
  • Interactive timelineDrag to reschedule with dependencies kept intact
  • Equipment and operator checksChanges checked against availability
  • Batch status trackingFrom creation through quality control and release

  • What is planned for Line 1 this week?
We evaluated and tested several planning solutions, but consistently found gaps in the capabilities we need to run our planning effectively. Shelf-life extensions, safety stock calculations, pegging, location-based planning, and campaign planning are all important to our process. SCmple was the only solution we evaluated that brought all of those capabilities together, which was a major factor in our decision. The way everything works together is seamless, and the system is very easy to use.

Implementation

From kickoff to your first live plan.

Each implementation follows a clear path, adapted to your data sources and the way your operation runs, with the same team guiding you from the first workshop to go-live and beyond.

  1. Step 1: Discover

We map your products, suppliers, and data sources and agree on scope.

Your input: Share how you plan today and what matters most.

  2. Step 2: Configure

We set up planning rules and data connections around how you operate.

Your input: Confirm the details that make your planning your own.

  3. Step 3: Test

We run the plan on your own products and refine it until it fits.

Your input: Review the plan against your own products.

  4. Step 4: Go live

We stay alongside your team through the transition and after go-live.

Your input: Run your first planning cycles on SCmple.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Does SCmple support both clinical and commercial supply?

Yes. SCmple supports clinical programs and commercial portfolios on one platform, so your planning grows with your pipeline.

Do we need an ERP to use SCmple?

No. SCmple runs on its own if you have not yet chosen an ERP. When an ERP is in place, it remains your system of record, and SCmple connects to it for the data the plan needs.

How is SCmple different from the planning module in our ERP?

SCmple is designed around the realities of pharmaceutical supply, so shelf life, batch and lot logic, CDMO terms, and the path from finished product to drug substance are part of every plan. It works alongside your ERP, adding a dedicated planning environment and unlimited scenarios without changing how transactions are managed.

Can we set up the planning logic to match how we plan today?

Yes. Safety stock, expiry dating, lot sizing, pegging, and lead times can each follow the method your team uses, across the whole portfolio or material by material, so the plan follows your practice instead of asking you to change it.

Will our decisions hold when the plan reruns?

Yes. Orders your team firms stay in place through every future planning run, while the rest of the plan adjusts around them.

What does implementation require from our team?

Our team leads the setup. What we need most from yours is planning knowledge from the people who run the plan today, covering how you plan, the details that matter most, and a review of the plan against your own products before go-live. The exact involvement depends on your data sources and scope, and we map it out with you during discovery. After go-live, our team supports you as needed.

How is our data protected?

Each customer’s data is kept separate by company account in secure cloud infrastructure. Your team can sign in with your own company login through single sign-on, add two-factor authentication, and add or remove SCmple users automatically from your company directory. Roles and permissions control what each person can see and change, and every change to our code is reviewed and automatically checked for known security weaknesses before it ships.
